Took it slow and steady.
Followed prescribed Doctors orders to @BassCliff .

7-10-15 yards respectively
Slow and steady
3” size bull on range target
Used 3” splatter targets for 10-15 yards

…. Then I got antsy and did speed drills 🤣🤣

Here’s the 7-10-15 in order
Did 2 targets on 15 yards. Upper center was warm up. Lower left was 3-5 second intervals on shots

Todays Friday for me, I work Monday-Thursday. Had a big win with a client to finish the work and decided to celebrate with a trip to the range.

Top 25rds, 10yds DR920, Bottom 25rd 15yds DR920. Middle 50rds, 10yds, The Glorious, Oh So Turkish Tisas BRDuty 9 1911.

Switching from red dot on the DR920 to iron sights on the 1911 feels like it uses different parts of the brain. Red dot is left brain (creative), iron sights are right brain (linear). The fliers are for the gun gods.

Very good shooting killer, I’ve never seen barrels in an indoor range? What’s that all about???

Nice work...Fliers are just part of the game

Nice. Another good “test” try the Bakersfield Qual it’s only a 10 round course but has upped the hit % from 20% (national average) to Bakersfield Kern county Cali Officers are having an 85% hit rate. Every Officer has to fire it I believe twice a month.

Or any of the Drill of the month from Tom Givens Rangemaster Newsletter

Bakersfield Qual is below for those interested (and shot this cold no warmups on demand just like the real deal)

Hi,

When I grow up I want to be just like @SimonRL and @KillerFord1977. :D

I do try to balance my practice sessions between pure marksmanship and self-defense drills. In real life you probably won't have time to get that perfect grip, perfect sight picture, perfect trigger pull, etc. But even when I'm practicing my marksmanship, I need to slow down a lot more. I will take the time, lots of time, to hone my marksmanship during my next couple of practice sessions. It would be almost as much fun being able to post pictures with big ragged holes on the bullseye like you guys do. That really is impressive. Nice work.

Advanced handgun
Shoot n move
Concealment
Down range away from the lames

These are the kind of exercises I love. My class did lots of this at my old outdoor range. There are "scoot-n-shoot" clinics at my new indoor range but it's not quite the same.

My old range, the cover/concealment wall:

Sometimes we used various stations:

This is really fun. The steel silhouette is on a rail, a moving target, and you have to avoid the paper targets because they are innocent bystanders.

But I digress. I have a training clinic on Wednesday so after that I promise I'll get back to fundamentals for my next two practice sessions. @KillerFord1977 has put my timer in timeout. :ROFLMAO:

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff
