The Federal HST is loaded in ALL my carry guns, 9mm gets 147gr and 45ACP gets 230 gr, Super accurate and in my testing expands almost 100 % of the time, I used a HST .40 on a coyote years ago, just OMG.

Federal HST, Winchester Ranger-T, Remington Golden Saber, Speer Gold Dot (in most calibers). The differences between them involve an indeterminate number of angels doing the hustle on a pinhead.

Any one of them that your pistol feeds reliably will do it's job if you do yours and place it where it needs to be.

One thing I will add, through—rounds like that G2 Gold Dot, Hornady Critical Duty, and a few others are designed for duty-length barrels, not compact carry pistols. In short barrels, they tend to get poor expansion and can overpenetrate...choose accordingly.
