I prefer Holosun too. As far as the Chi-com thing, they are designed and tested in the US. And in my experience they are bombproof. I personally know a few people who have had issues with their Eotechs. One of them is an ex operator who told me if he was deploying again he would take a Holosun over an Eotech. And he showed me the "Bouncing reticle" on the Eotech on his PDW.I would assume it depends on what plates are available. However, I buy holosun (Chinese comments coming). For a pure value perspective they can’t be beat. Add that to durability of holosun (check sage dynamics out) and the 50k battery life. Well it’s easy to see why they are so popular. Big fan of the new EPS it’s enclosed and makes cleaning so easy although that is a bit more
Expensive. But I have a 407c on my xdm9 that has given me 0 issues. The 407c can be found down at 199.

Looks like the xd slide assembly comes with an optic plate. According to this armory life article it seems to be the SMSc also known as RMSc footprint. https://www.thearmorylife.com/xd-osp-slide-conversion-kits-review/Great info.
