Since there’s not much to do here lately, I was going through some old gun cleaning products and ran across some Rem Oil, does anybody still use this. I know it got a bad rap about being to runny, it evaporites. I was always told this is how you were supposed to use this product, first if it runs, your using to much, your supposed to lightly use it. It’s supposed to evaporate, it leaves behind a thin layer and is supposed to look dry so it won’t attract dirt and such, as for lubrication it has Teflon in it and when it dries, the Teflon doesn’t evaporate, it’s still there to lube. You kinda use it like you are seasoning an old cast iron skillet, I have used it in the past and never had any issues of rust or lubrication issues. There are a lot of other products out there today, but back when I first started shooting, like my dad, I used this product.
