Reviewed: Marlin 1895 Dark Series Tactical Lever Action Rifle

Maybe I'm stupid, but what makes that rifle "tactical"?
The blacked out look I imagine.
I’m guessing Remington’s way of badging it “Tactical” and charging more money for it. Same question sort of applies to why put a coated black (painted) wood stock on it when they could have used a polymer stock and for-end to save weight. Remington charging big money and going cheap.

Yup, just like Remington’s 870 Tactical pump shotguns. All black, shorter barrel 18” or so, and a spiked muzzle break to slam into door jams to blow off door hinges Etc.
These Marlin lever guns seem similar using the Tactical vernacular, in that they’ll carbine length for CQB potential, larger lever loop wrapped in bunge cord (along with bunge cord sling), better sights perhaps?, and all black in color.
I like them, Perhaps One day I’ll get one. I already own the Marlin 1895 SBL 45-70, which I like, I think it needs a brother to keep it company ;)
