Well, the wedding was awesome. It was a down home country thing. My niece has married into the McCoy clan(of the Hatfield-McCoy feud fame), and many stories were told around the firepit the following evening, while we passed around the bourbon and wine bottles.

Now the family thing is done and we are all still breathing, so we’re on our way northwest to Nashville. We’re supposed to be passing through some crap weather, but tomorrow and Thursday are supposed to be nice. Gonna take in some of the suggestions you all gave me. Definitely going to check out Kid Rock’s steakhouse

Thanksgiving eve (wednesday) is the worst time of year for drunks...

try to hunker down for the night if possible by 9 PM

Just drove through a brutal storm just northeast of Macon. Tried to post a pic of the radar but the file was too big. Phone is gonna die soon.

Best way is to not go through Georgia at all. I can attest that Atlanta has been a traffic nightmare since at least 1985.

I believe it. I spent 5 hours trying to get through Atlanta mid day traffic back in 1985 on my way to Tampa. After that I started just taking the long way down 55 to New Orleans and getting on the 10.

There’s a multi car wreck up there. It’s taken us half an hour to go a quarter of a mile

Which the problem with the long way down 55 to the 10 is Jackson Mississippi. F that place.

I believe it. I spent 5 hours trying to get through Atlanta mid day traffic back in 1985 on my way to Tampa. After that I started just taking the long way down 55 to New Orleans and getting on the 10.

Yep that's a better route except for a few sketchy bridges on I-10.
