"Robert Kennedy Jr reportedly faced an assassination scare after a heavily armed man posing as his security entered his campaign event on Friday.
The suspect was allegedly carrying two holstered weapons and a US Marshals badge when he entered the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles.
He was wearing protective gear and had two spare ammunition magazines in his possession, it has been reported.
He reportedly claimed he was part of Kennedy’s security detail when Federal ID approached him. Los Angeles Police later confirmed that a man was arrested for posing as a federal agent.
Now, the unnamed man is likely to be charged with impersonating a police officer or federal agent and possibly unlawful possession of firearms."




and he has asked secret service for a security detail of which he is not warranted as he is not the candidate and not within 120 days of an election

just because he is a kennedy does not warrant a secret service detail. but my questions are why or what would be the point of someone killing him? he is not a threat .

and two, its not really an assissination atempt if you just breached security and were no where near the intended person

well tell you what, the other night was the movie on Teddy Kennedy's accident where the girl died, "Mary Jo Kopechne"

the movies take liberties with dialogs and other things, so we will never know all that was said or done.

but seeing Teddy being being non-chalant made me hate him even more, in fact when i was younger and this happened, i really didn't care much for the Kennedy family, as "daddy" Kennedy always "bought things his way".....

The fact that Ted Kennedy continued to be reelected to the senate after the death of Mary Jo shows how stupid the American voter is.

i agree, good thing he was a Masshole...had he lived in my state, i woulda egg'd his election posters.

but, here in a highly dumbocratic area, people would rather have voted for him, than any really great republican any day.

This is why its so important to vote in the PRIMARY elections. Let's face it, come the general election, most people are simply gonna vote "R" or "D" regardless of the candidate. If you want real change, you're gonna have to do it in the primary election in order to get real, qualified candidates on the ballot come November.
