If your ronin slide has a area of a light spot in the finish. How do you get it blued again?

This looks very interesting. For some reason fate has decided that I must find myself in a position where I need to do finish work on old guns without the benefit of a bluing tank or the means to reasonably easily strip the entire finish off the parts. and I have to say I am underwhelmed with the results from the Birchwood Casey Tru Blu stuff and bluing touch up pens. While I would obviously prefer the finish to look uniform and decent when I am done, what is really important is that the finish protects the parts similarly to a new, blued gun/part.I have had good luck with this Oxpho-Blue
