What about a Browning Buckmark as an option ?I can only afford 1. Anybody who owns one or both please give me your thoughts and suggestions!
Thanks.
Both are great pistols and they both have a decent aftermarket. The Ruger Mark IV had a slightly larger aftermarket available.I can only afford 1. Anybody who owns one or both please give me your thoughts and suggestions!

Not sure about the SW but the Ruger I'm interested in is referred to as the Target model which is the one I'm leaning towards right now. Both are great pistols and they both have a decent aftermarket. The Ruger Mark IV had a slightly larger aftermarket available.
You can't go wrong either way.
What model of each are you leaning towards? The base SW22 Victory is usually sold almost $100 less than the base Ruger Mark IV.

I'm familiar with Ruger SP 101 and GP101. I know Ruger builds their guns like tanks!$549 .
Agreed!I have 2 ruger Mark IVs (Target and Competition) and the S&W SW22 Victory. All three of mine shoot great, but the Mark IVs are a bit easier to disassemble/reassemble in my opinion. Either way, you really can't go wrong. Good Luck.
Threaded barrel?$549 .
TX22 Competition.Threaded barrel?
I prefer the threaded barrel models of most .22lr pistols for upgrades such as suppressor hosts or even compensators.
My LGS has a Mark IV Lite in-stock right now. I'll eventually pickup this model as it's on my short list of must haves.

Not so much anymore. They have been having quality control problems on some of their firearms. Check on their website to see who is complaining about which models.I'm familiar with Ruger SP 101 and GP101. I know Ruger builds their guns like tanks!
I don’t think you can wrong with either one. Although much different than the IV, I have a Ruger Mark I Target and I love it. Shot a friend’s Victory a few times and it too is a real fine shooter. Handle both and see which one feels good in your hand then that’s your gun.I can only afford 1. Anybody who owns one or both please give me your thoughts and suggestions!
Thanks.
Now i’m checking out buckmarks!Put me down as another Browning Buckmark fan.
Much preferred to the Ruger MK series.
Buckmarks are a good pistol and can be had for short money depending on the model. You won't find as many upgrades for a Buckmark as the other two options (Ruger & S&W) so I'd recommend picking up a higher end model if you go that route to save on potential future upgrades. Now i’m checking out buckmarks!
I can't find any of those around but thanksWhat about a Browning Buckmark as an option ?
Same price point
The Ruger feels better. And I personally like the aesthetic aspect of it. Badass looking gun! Both are great pistols and they both have a decent aftermarket. The Ruger Mark IV had a slightly larger aftermarket available.
