SA-35 Update

Managed to get some free time teaching Police Quals to fire my Sa-35. Yesterday did roughly 350 rounds w 2 FTE issues. Cleaned her up real good. today did roughly 400 rounds and again 2 more FTE's. Springfield already had her back there twice. I called them and they took my required info and said someone would get back to me ? No call back yet. Stupid question here ? Upon receiving her back their work order stated they replaced the extractor and also replaced the barrel and it indicated they did a safety and function checks to wit their techs find nothing. Now the stupid question ? I was thinking another good cleaning and try her again tomorrow and see if there's any more issues but is there a so called break in w a new barrel and extractor ? And if so roughly what is a good amount of rounds to go through without having FTE issues before I can deem her safe ? Or should I just send her back yet a third time ? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I agree. I want to say that with any gun if you got two FTEs every 400 rounds you wouldn’t think twice, but that’s not true really because we’ve probably all got guns that have gone much farther without an FTE ever. I’m sure your SA-35 makes you hyper alert to that because you’re thinking here we go. It might be the price of owning an SA-35. Keep shooting it, you’ve got a lifetime - I believe - to send it back in for warranty work. Heck, your practically half way there in ammo to buying another one!

I own 2 1 runs like the wind, the other ive replaced the extractor and spring with cylinder and slide extractor and heavy duty spring + i replace the sear bar with bh springs solutions spring assisted sear bar, (thats cause i was already in the gun and seems like a good upgrade). Now ive got bout 600 rds thru it and 0 FTE. I do have replacement parts for the 2nd 1 if it starts having issues has bout 400 rds so far no issues with it.

That's not good news. A "repaired" gun should not have the same issue(s) upon return. Give them one more chance and if not fixed then, ask for a replacement gun. You could ask for a replacement now in the hopes they take it seriously and rectify your situation. Since there is much speculation and secrecy about this issue, we truly don't know what they are doing. If their extractor doesn't work, maybe a Tisas, Girsan, FN or aftermarket part would solve this once and for all.
This reminds me of the lifetime carburetor I bought one time. I paid a mechanic to dial it in, 5 times. I could have purchased another brand with the final cost and that doesn't count the time involved.
