Does anyone on this site have a 1911 Champion .45? I recently was given one by an older relative and I think it may be missing a part?
I don’t believe so; pretty sure Champions have always had 4” barrels and a FLGR, where a Commander has a 4.25” barrel and a GI setup. The original Springfield Champion is the same as any other Commander style 1911.

But pound-for-pound, the Champion, Springfield's version of Colt's original Commander, holds the title belt as the company's best sidearm. In other words, if you only own one Springfield 1911, make it a Champion.www.shootingillustrated.com

I had a stainless one from the early ‘90’s set up like that; it was an IMBEL gun.
Might not be an exact copy if the commander, but most parts are the same and since the OP never stated what they think is missing, I posted thisI don’t believe so; pretty sure Champions have always had 4” barrels and a FLGR, where a Commander has a 4.25” barrel and a GI setup.
