Can anyone help explain why the Springfield Armory (SA) Ronin EMP 3” 9mm is so hard to find? I contacted SA trying to get a feel for why the availability for these firearms were so limited. Their response was lack of available raw resources and they were working the problem. I had trouble finding my Emissary 4.25 45ACP also. Lack of raw resources just does not seem viable. Look forward to your input. Thanks in advance.

Lack of raw resources is utterly viable.

You may want to research the slowdown in international metals shipments…along with everything else.

Let me ask this…. Have you found shortage when it comes to groceries….dining out and less items on the menu, what about most other things like lumber building material?
if you haven’t felt those shortages, God bless you. If you have felt those effects, I’m Glad not to be alone.

I think SA explained it perfectly and I think that's really all there is to it (other than maybe labor shortages as well). And it's not just SA nor the EMP 3" model specifically. In my experience over the last couple of years, plastic guns can generally be found in abundance, but any metal/hammer gun is likely going to be hit or miss and require some searching and patience.

I managed to grab a Ronin EMP 3" last month, but it took a while and a fair bit of searching. When I saw it, I didn't hesitate. I would recommend getting on the notification list for that model with the usual reliable online retailers.
