Is there some method to change the grips on the first model to the more recent version without buying another whole gun?

Have there been improvements on the trigger that could be fitted to the early model?

I have the first gen XDs .45. I put a spring kit and a new sear from Powder River Precision. It made a vast improvement in it but still nothing to write home about. As far as changing the grip around I'm not aware of being able to do that.

Hi,

You can't change the grip itself. You're stuck with the polymer you have but a Talon Grip kit is a popular upgrade.

Have to agree with @BassCliff the grips i use in my 1st gen XDs45

Maybe I’m not as picky as you guys but I bought my XD Mod 2 .45 after handling several guns, including piles of Glocks, primarily because of how good it feels in my hand. I have no issues with the stock trigger either. It’s reliable and very accurate.
