saint edge 100 yard accuracy

we have a saint edge rifle in 5.56 that i have tried two different 5.56 loads at 100 yards will not shoot under 10"
federal 62 gr fmj ball and American eagle 55 gr fmj both of these are bulk ammo not expecting one hole groups but i thought it would do better
shooting a 223 fmj it shot 2" and a 10 shot group of a 223 hand load (serria 55 gr spitzer over 24 grs of 4064) shot even tighter
any ideas of what might be going on with the 5.56 stuff

it is scoped i have gone over the mounting several times tried an known scope
it shoots 223 ammo well
just looking for thoughts on the difference
Have you tried a different optic. 10 inches at a 100 yards makes me think the scope has issues.

I am sure it goes without saying, but make sure if you are shooting rested that the handguard is what is being supported and not the barrel.

My Edge pistol came from the factory slightly loose between the upper and lower and I had to tighten it up using the
Accu/tight screw before I shot it.
Check to make sure you don’t have a wobble.

I would try a new optic as see what it does

What's the scope? Is it a quality optic? How about the mounts? Quality, or cheap?

If you switched back to the accurate loads, was it still accurate? If it was...it's not the optic.

Sorry I missed the part were you said it was accurate with .223.

Have never had an issue swapping between .223 and 5.56 with any AR I have ever shot.

If it holds groups with .223 it should dang sure hold groups with 5.56.
