Hey everyone, I recently purchased a 300 Blackout Saint Victor with a 9 inch barrel which came with the adjustable metering screw. I was wondering if anyone had issues with the screw backing out or vibrating loose? Is it necessary to upgrade to a different gas block? I am planning on running it suppressed so I do plan on adjusting the gas accordingly.

Instead looking for issues, and replacing things, why not just go shoot it? Springfield Pins their gas blocks so adding some aftermarket one that you use set screws is a downgrade. The screws have a thread locker on them and do not just fall out. Before you touch anything I would recommend oil it up and go shoot it. Then when you add the suppressor before adjusting anything go shoot it. Get your baseline first.

Good point. Trust me I don’t want to replace anything and I do like the advantage of the pinned gas block. Just trying to figure out if anyone has experienced issues with the adjustable metering screw walking out on them. I was told by Springfield to go ahead and put the adjustable metering screw in it because the one that is currently in the gas block could get carbon locked. Do you have any experience with this? I do plan on getting out and shooting it but with 300 BO ammo so expensive it makes it difficult.
