Went to LGS today just to look. Owner says to me I have been saving this for you. He goes into safe and walks out with a S&W M&P 2.0 40 cal. Gun was purchased and then owner never fired it. Kept it a year and got rid of it. Gun is in perfect, unfired condition. No tags as to price so I ask how much. $387 out the door. Filled out the paperwork and paid the man. According to Smith its a new gun and was never registered to old owner so it also comes with warranty. All in all a good day. I'll get some pics after I take it apart and clean it up. These M&P's are starting to take over the Glocks I have and I have a few Glocks!

Nice !
Congrats 🕺👍

Now they finally made it in 10mm, now they need to make it in 357sig (2.0 core threaded or ported).
I looked at 10mm and also 9mm in steel. Reason I didn't get 10mm is a lot of feeding problems with that gun. He said he has had to send a few back to Smith. I will wait a while and hopefully they will work it out. Steel 9mm looked and felt great but right now it was just too expensive for me. Maybe in the future.

I would have loved to purchase a Springfield but he doesn't carry a big selection of them because they just do not sell here. I know this because because I worked for him for 6 years and could count on one hand how many Springfield's we sold during that time. Beretta's, Glocks, and Smith's are the big sellers. Also Hi-point and Taurus sold ok because they were cheap. Ruger was ok in revolvers but very slow in semi. He said even Kimber has slowed down now probably because of price. Even hunting supplies and ammo are very slow this year. Times are changing.

Although a nice looking gun I like the flat trigger on my Elite compact 10mm as it gives me more room in the trigger guard for a gloved hand.
I’m not a fan of the new flat trigger on the XDm Elites, I always had a high hold on the trigger, with the Elites, you can’t, you have to place your finger downward some or the blade safety will interfere with my trigger pull, my only fault with this gun, prefer the older design trigger, plus if you ride the slide with your hand and not let it slam like it should, there are 2 trigger resets, a faint one just before the main reset, if you let the slide slam into battery like normal, it’s not there, did a lot of research and watched some videos about this, everyplace said it’s the the meta trigger and it’s ok, basically during dry fire, not a concern from all I read.

If you listen closely, you can hear a double click

BTW, my gun functions perfectly, I read about this occurrence and wanted to see if mine did it and it does, no biggie, just an FYI
