Went out to the gravel pit early this morning to sight in the new M&P FPC rifle. Got it sighted in with 6 shots then my morning went to crap. A tiny little puppy came up to me that someone dumped off out there! I really felt sorry for the little gal. I picked her up then 7 more brothers and sisters came out of the bushes! Now I have a problem. I called Sheriff Department and they sent out an animal control officer to come and get them. They were hungry and thirsty. Can't believe some human being would do that. Officer said good thing I found them, they might have become targets out there or the coyotes would get them. They will be going to vet monday morning to get checked out. They are shepard-something mix--very cute. Officer said come over monday afternoon to visit them. I really don't want or need another dog, the husky is enough for me. So I will go out another day and put the FPC thru the paces. It felt really good for as little I shot it.

The people who do that sort of thing are evil. There is no excuse. I’m so glad that the agencies in your area are helping those puppies.

I bet it felt frustrating not being able to put the FPC through its paces, but you did the right thing. 😊

People can be cruel especially to animals, our cat Cassie was left at a school with her siblings, neighbors girl friend was a substitute teacher and managed to pick her up but couldn’t get the others, that’s how we got her, if people can do this to helpless animals what do you think they can do to you or me? Glad you got them to a safe place

To answer the puppy question the answer is not at this time. I'm getting older and don't want to burden anyone with another animal. Maggie is comfortable with being the only dog and at 6 years old i don't want to rock the boat.

You’re a good man. I hope they find forever homes.
