I'm not sure what you're talking about because when I use the search tool with keywords such as lunatic, crazy, or “chicken with an identity crisis" your name always pops up so it seems to be working fine for me.....😂🤣

Well, as the "Junior, less senior, most unimportant" moderator on this site, I think you should stop goofing around, and get cracking on fixing this problem you most likely caused while monkeying around with site functions in the background without telling anyone. But I must admit, the search function does work 100% correctly when typing in "Yeet Cannon" as @10mmLife comes up with hundred of hits. 😆😂🤣

I think it's more likely that you are so desperate to find more Yeet Cannons for your personal Hi-Point shrine/museum that you searched Hi-Point hundreds of times looking for your precious.

Some time ago I was totally exasperated with the search function ..... seemed like no matter what/how I used it I couldn't get it right. Then all of a sudden, I tried something a little different and it's worked ever since, almost flawlessly. I can't tell you exactly what I started doing differently, but I think it had something to do with either using 'tab' or using 'enter' in the right place. I'll go and see if I can recollect just what the difference was and get back to ya'.
 
OK, here's what I think I found ............................
If/when you type a word in the 'Search' window, if you immediately hit the touch pad as a left 'click', it doesn't seem to work, at least for me on my laptop. However, if after typing your word, you cursor down to the 'search' window before hitting the touch pad, it will work. Or if you hit the 'enter' key, it seems to work OK with the cursor at either place.

Whatever you type into the search window, must be accurate even to including the punctuation if any. For example, I use y'all a lot. I can search it only if I include the apostrophe. The word y'all will work, but yall will not. I've also found the same is true of 'Member' window if you use it .... the name spelling must be identical and it will search only after hitting 'enter' and for some reason it will not react to simply hitting the touch pad unless you have dragged the cursor down to the search window before hitting it..

There may be more to it, but that seems to work for me pretty reliably. Y'all try it and let the rest of us know what you find.
 
I tend to use the "Advance Search" feature more - I figure the more I can get specific with my search parameters, the better likelihood that my search will turn up with something.

I honestly haven't had much trouble with the Forum's search function.

That said, I will also sometimes simply use Google, but specify for it to search in a certain Forum/sub-Forum.

@Annihilator , what were you attempting to search for? If you can give me an idea, I can try to perform the search and see if I get lucky - and report back to you what exactly I searched for in order to generate those results.

I'm pretty sure it's not the subject @Annihilator is searching for that's the issue. It's just really hard for him to properly type with his beak, also poultry can't spell....😜👍
