What a senseless and totally preventable tragedy, so many rules and safety protocols not followed.
Unbelievable. ☹️
 
Long story short, when I was still at my sheriffs dept, a female deputy was qualifying with her new Auto-Ordance 1911 in .45, it jammed, she then ran down the line yelling my gun jammed, while she was running, she was waving the gun all around and at other deputies, which in turn the range officer grabbed her and the gun, he took possession of it, she got disqualified, got reprimanded by the sheriff with time off, now she was a seasoned deputy, and not a new one, so there not any better then civilians when it comes to gun safety, not saying all officers are like this, but it makes you wonder.
 
Removal of qualified immunity, no bail/no prosecution of criminals, getting slaughtered in the media....who would want to get into that career? The defund the police movement will have long-lasting effects, even if those in power now publicly denounce the concept. Damage is already done.
 
It's just un F'ing believable in this day and age ANYONE, much less someone allegedly trained would ever point a gun at someone "Jokingly". And the victim, after the first shot, what, just stood there laughing ? WTF ?

Someone, anyone, points a gun at me for any reason and before they pull the trigger I will already be moving. If that thing don't go off and kill me they are in for a beating.

Seriously. Point a gun at me and your getting shot or getting the 💩 beat out you, friend or not.

i don't like nor appreciate his "sense" of humor.....
 
He was arrested and faces manslaughter charges, which is very appropriate IMO.

The father giving his children a gun safety lesson, that included pointing the firearm at them and pulling the trigger to kill his daughter is even worse. The famous words were said in this one also, "I thought it was unloaded".
