@SimonRL and I took another installment of our private instruction/class on Shoot n move and concealment. 2.5 hrs
Great time . Lots of fun and lessons to work on. I cant dance for 💩, and sometimes it comes thru on my 2 left feet in a drill, but I shoot straight and accurate. Guess that’s what matters 🙂
Rapid fire. Slow fire. Concealment. Close in. Shoot and then run for cover. High ready. CQB. Great advancement of skills.
We’ll prob go outdoor as the weather improves to a range for hands on realistic approach.

Here is some of ol @SimonRL in action:

Hi,

I do enjoy a good "scoot and shoot" workout, something close to a real world scenario. Well, as real as you can make it under safe, controlled conditions. Did your instructor try to induce any type of cognitive overload? My instructors are always messing with my head. ;)

Thank you for your indulgence,

He did not.
Usually does but he passed that time.
I was giving my own overload with 2 left feet and a tango

Another good class last night.
Some CQB mixed in with some 2 foot away strike the target with fists , grab target around the “neck” and fire from the draw with pistol close in next to your side/chest area .
Similar to pic circled below.

Lots of El Presidente drills, speed drills and accuracy drills on 3”-6” targets. Multiple engagement targets at varying distances . Good session. @SimonRL joined in.

Got the drawn down to a 1.17. Happy with that.. accuracy held up as well. Lots of 10 rounds on two 6” targets( 5 left transition to 5 right) quick reload then 3 rounds on a 3” target.
Had to use a 10 rd mag, slide lock, then use 3 rd mag. Total time was 9.19 sec. I’ll have to work on that😉

First target is 10 yrd speed drills from holster: 1,3 & 5 rd drills.( the flier is Simon for the record 🤣🤪)

Then some transition drills: 15 yrd couple rounds and transition to 5 yrd couple rounds. Alternate chest and head speed drills.

Great workout! That's really a fast draw. Nice work. I think I'm doing good when I get 1.5sec. Are you drawing from concealed or OWB?

It's been a while since I've practiced firing from retention. I'll mention that to our instructors and see if they'll incorporate that into a session soon. Did you use extra long target backers to simulate the "neck"?

My next session is in a couple of weeks. Instructor says we'll be doing some one hand and off hand drills. Oh boy.

Thanks for sharing your fun. 😉

We grab the cardboard “Y” of the frame at the top of the target above the clips to hang the target
