I have always been fascinated by this design. It was considered by the US military to replace the 1911 in the 1980's but it was a bit more complicated for serious consideration. When I was assigned in Germany in 2008 I met a couple of older federal polezei who were carrying these but never got a chance to ask questions about how well they liked them. Knowing Germans and their guns I am sure they were proficient with them. They seemed to admire our SIG M11's. I would love to get some range time with one but don't need to own one.
