Shotguns

One shotgun is my main stay, Mossberg 500 with Blackhawk Compstock, and 20 inch accuchoke barrel with peepsights.

Use it for everything from partridge and turkeys to repelling boarders.

I sure bassbob has a shotgun in every length I have one a mossberg in a 18 in it’s my bedside weapon
It’s true I have a bunch of shotguns but I don’t think I have the most shotguns on the forum. If I was guessing I’d say Talyn, Hans, Bet7 and Belt Fed probably have more/ better shotguns than me.

I have a few, but no where near the knowledge and expertise Bob has with any shotgun. I don't have pictures of the most recent Mossberg Shockwaves I bought in 20 and 410, but pictures of my Shockwave 590M & Remington Tac14DM 12 gauges (Detachable Mags that I know Bob dislikes), my Stoeger M3500 28" used for sporting clays, and Mossberg 590 Mariner (pictures too large to upload). Remington Tactical that I modified and Bob's desired Benelli M1014. I'd like to get the Remington Tac13 and maybe a Browning Citori 30" O/U for Trap 🤷‍♂️

I may have two. One for certain. The definite one is a Maverick 88 Security in 12 gauge. Black polymer stock. Side saddle. mount for a light. The maybe is a Judge. The 2 1/2" model. It has the fiber optic front sight, rail with a light a couple of speed loaders. Pure .410/.45 Colt fun.

Very nice as usual bet7

I only have 20" shotguns. From time to time I shoot a round of skeet or two at my club. Every time I do, the other skeet shooters complain about my gun's noise level. Since 18" and 20" shotguns are about all I've ever shot, the noise seems perfectly normal to me.

I want a 12 gauge shotgun, but I need one with the softest recoil impulse because I have neck and shoulder problems that are easily aggravated. Due to this condition I had to sell off my pre-ban HK/Benelli M1S90 Tactical ... what would you suggest.

All I have left in shotguns a .410 bore single, and a Model 11 twelve gauge. I'd like to shorten the barrel on the 11, make it more wieldable for home defense.

While I have done a hacksaw job on barrels…and seen them done with a pipe cutter (if you have a vent rib, this won’t work)…best to pay a ‘smith to do it; usually a very nominal charge, and they will often re-tap the front bead & reblue the cut edge.

Personally, if I was doing that, I’d buy a spare barrel for it, and cut that one.
