What does this contract do to the prospects of Colt in the near future? Seems their vanilla M-4 offerings will have their days numbered with the military, at least as far as new orders are concerned.

Owned by the Germans but they closed out their maufacturing in Germany, so they just have their US manufacturing.

Wonder why they abandoned Europe, seems remaining in Switzerland/ Germany would give them easy access to NATO contracts if the Army fully adopts the 6.8mm rifles and subsequently forces a retooling of NATO rifle standards.
