Sig Sauer 1911 STX

Old_Me

SAINT
the title gun, anyone here have one, or knows of someone who does?

i been doing "some" researching on this particular 1911, seems to me, close to a Dan Wesson, in pricing and quality

if i got the time saturday, a scoot to the LGS i will go, to see if they even have one in stock, thier pricing, etc. (depends on who is selling it of course), anywhere from $1100.00 and up.

thanks in advance

Sig makes nice 1911’s…if you can get past the external extractor on most models (not sure if this one has it or not).

I’ve probably shot one at one point, but it didn’t stick in the memory one way or the other.

yes it does. i am certain that out of my other 15 1911's, i must have at least 1 or 2 that have external extractors. i just cannot recall which ones.
You won’t go wrong with a Sig 1911, I love mine, it’s a older model

yeah, originally i saw the Sig Emperor, which has a finish like that FDE(??) and sorta a desert sand color(??)

it's also more money than the STX, which (to me) is more appealing
It's a looker. I lusted after one a while back until I realized it would become a decoration for the vault

i have "lusted" after many things. but after a while the Mrs got bothered by that, and removed my manhood, and sewed on velcro, so it can be removed, when i leave the house.

i can assure you that if i can find one (and if it's not highly priced, but i'd think full list IS a possibility), i will buy it, and it will most certainly not live in a safe..

for 1 reason...i have no safe.

i learnt that with my Mrs and her love of removing things and sewing on velcro, nothing IS safe......

ok, and update.

i was actually told this, and read this, but totally forgot all about it...the owner of the LGS, told me......

Sig, like many other firearms makers, during the pandemic, STOPPED making certain guns, due to the "slower sales" over the more popular moving and faster to produce, "polyment" guns, in the popular calibers, such as the venerable 9mm.

I went to my LGS, a large one at that, which is a stocking dealer/distributor for nearly all brands

i wanted to see the Sig STX 1911, and a S/A Garrison.

anyways, the OWNER of the LGS told me, he's had an order for sigs since 2020, that he never got, due to the production cutbacks. so while i was there, he made a phone call to Sig.

he was told that by "sometime" in august, he will be getting the first of many shipments of brand new Sigs, and THAT STX 1911, IS among them....and i will be getting both an email and phone call, and this time, NO deposit by me required to hold one

i was also told that he is discounting the price by at least $250 for me, one of the reasons is my being a regular customer, and a cash purchaser of guns and ammo, at his store....

i can't beat that type of customer service.

he is also said that as soon as a new Garrison comes in, i will be notified, and again, NO deposit required, unlike the SA 35 i bought a few months ago.

now i have to be patient and wait, for some new toys......
