I have a Sig P320 M-18 and my brother has a Sig P320 X Legion.
His legion is really nice, well balanced and the weighted grip does reduce felt recoil.
My M18, so so, I like most of my pistols better, but I wouldn't say I dislike it.
The drop fire issue was solved, at least to the point it passes the test. I'm confident they put a little more safety margin and it won't drop fire from even higher heights than the test. But looking at the solution, I can't say they eliminated the drop fire, so they may have just increased it to the point it would be unreasonable to expect it not to drop fire.
The lawsuits about the accidental discharges in purses and gym bags, is a mixed bag of facts and opinions. Just as much argument the owners bear some responsibility for carrying a pistol with a chambered round loose in a bag, and Sig that the pistol just went off. Sig says they have tried everything and can't duplicate the discharges.
I can't help but to think, the P320 not having any type of safety, either manual or automatic, "might" have something to do with it. No, I'm not saying I "know" that is the cause, heck I don't even know if the lawsuits are legit and not frivolous, I'm just saying I can help but to think it "might" have something to do with it.
BTW, the P320 M17/M18 civilian model has the military thumb safety, not sure if any other P320's have it, most don't have anything, no trigger lever safety, no grip safety, no manual safety. The civilian M17/M18 has a few differences from the actual military M17/M18. Nothing that is noticeable or changes the function or operation. I'm guessing they are assembled on two different lines.
