Slide don’t lock off after last shoot

Does it lock back when you insert an empty magazine and pull the slide back by hand? As stated try some hotter ammo and watch your thumb/hand. Also if possible, to rule it out, although I doubt it to be the case being both mags, but try another brand, of quality, magazine if you have one. Those would rule out several possibilities.

I try Wilson combat magazines and work properly. It is odd both Springfield mag fail.

Yes it seems to have narrowed it down to the mags. What I would do is still call SA and let them know that the factory mags don’t work but other mags do. They may send you or swap you two new mags.
It could be the followers in the mags, wouldn’t be much to swap those out to say a Wilson..https://shopwilsoncombat.com/Spring...5-ACP-Full-Size-Magazine/productinfo/47SFK-7/but don’t rule out the slide stop nub not being in far enough to engage, at least the factory mags. That’s what I would do, call SA and based off what they said decide if I order new “guts” for my mags and swapped them out with Wilson, NH or Tripp, some quality manufacture and see if that fixed the problem with my factory mags. If not would lastly look at my slide stop.

I would call Springfield, when I got my Range Officer Operator the mags look like they were left in the rain.
I sent pics and they replaced them, they were a little better, but they worked fine just disappointed they looked that bad.
I would ask them if they would send stainless ones.
Good Luck !!
