Nice watch. I assume they term it a tactical watch as opposed to divers watch to bring it to the attention of a specific user base.
There are plenty of pvd divers watches, they all have countdown bezels, they all have decent lume, some better than others. The one thing that is rarer, but not hard to find is the second 12 hour markers on the face in smaller font for the 24 hour display.
If I were designing it i would have given it solid strap bars, there is no pin to catch and pop possibly losing the watch if on a two piece strap. And I would have made it smaller, especially in height if possible to fit better around tight cuffed garments and gloves, also resulting in less catching and those darn popped pins. Having gone back to a smaller sub 40mm watch for the most part I have rediscovered just how much more comfortable they are and how much less they catch or bang on things.
I lost a nice Citizen diver on rubber strap by catching the tall case on a sailboat line and popping a pin. Watched it slip into the depths of Lake Huron.

Thanks, Sld1959. Mr. Smith wanted to design it for law enforcement or use. Having met him, I can see where he’s coming from.

Lol ya it was the debut and was still on the original rubber strap. Hopefully Neptune found it and is wearing it on a proper nato.

I too enjoyed the article. Watches have always held my attention...precision machines, like cars, guns and motorcycles. I guess that is why there is so much crossover between car guys and gun guys. I guess in my heart I am just a Machine Guy.
