So here it is

Thanks for posting Recusant.

Raised a couple of thoughts did it?
How ever did the USA survive without the ATF? Likely for better or worse? Personal thoughts may be for the better?
Thoughts on Biden's choice for head of ATF? Seem a little biased if in and when reading persons history? Twisted? Little wonder ATF post was vacant for so long if that's the best choice?

Online/catalog sales requirements? Many older companies sold everything, including kits of many types, via catalog sales. Clothing, houses, firearms and you name it was sold to average person being shipped straight to their doors or local warehouse. All, I might add w/o permits and or licensing fees .... and more money, more taxes. How's that going now? Some thoughts, it ain't just the gungrabbers we're needing to be concerned about is it? Money grabbers and carpet baggers galore as well?

Psychological exams? It may apear the requirements are misapplied there to firearm owners? The shoe would likely be better suited on the other foot?.... To the very ones trying to implement those warped procedures? And, we all also may be better off and avoid these "blankety blank" issues in the first place if requirements for any government employee and elected official was required to take and pass psychological exams before being in our government? So, then again, how competent and experienced are those who give those evaluations anyways? Thinking quite a few in current government wouldn't be there now?

How is it that we survived so long as a country without some twisted government officials misinterpreting Our Country's Foundations into their own mostly biased agenda's for so long????

An Executive order banned bump stocks and took legally owned products from Americans hands without compensation. Not to mention making them felons if they resisted. The unconstitutional extra-legislative power the ATF holds is immense and executive orders are the wind that drives that wild fire.
Not so benign.

I agree. The administration can be taken to court, but the legal system moves pretty slow. I just can't help but think about Ruby Ridge, where the innocent man was framed by the federal government and the Branch Dividians in Waco, Texas, where the federal government attacked and killed innocent people. The executive branch of government has more power than we like to think. And Congress sits by and beats their gums. :(

I don't think Biden signed any Executive Orders yesterday. He issued some Executive Actions, which were basically telling people to look into some things. Nothing has changed with what happened yesterday. IF anything happens, it won't be for at least 2-6 months when the various agencies have "studied" the points Biden wants them to look into.

That’s correct. Executive Actions are not Executive Orders. Big difference. There is nothing legally binding about anything he said yesterday except his installation of the gun grabber as head of the AFT ( as Biden called it 3 times yesterday 🤣).

They don’t want to do anything that can be challenged and end up at SCOTUS right now.

From what I've heard, this nominee for the head of the ATF has to be approved by the Senate. And he's going to have trouble, not just from the Republicans, but from some Democrats as well. We'll see what happens.

On proposed head of ATF, FTA or FAT? Am not thinking he's going to go anywhere.
He's an embarrassment because of his involvement with WACO massacre indecent. Maybe not as publicly known as Janet Reno perhaps, but an embarrassment none the less. His involvement with an anti-gun establishment further damages his credibility as in being fair / impartial and as implied by some others even of being of sound mind. But, good old Uncle Joe's replaced Uncle Sam, so who really knows what sometimes? Maybe better than seeing or watching Petticoat Junction reruns?
