Bill introduced. Attempting to keep anyone who is not part of PennCorps, from owning "high powered ammunition":

(d) Definitions.--As used in this section, "high-power firearm ammunition" shall mean the following types of ammunition: (1) Ammunition constructed entirely from one or a combination of tungsten alloys, steel, iron, brass, bronze, beryllium copper or depleted uranium. (2) A full-jacketed projectile larger than .22 caliber and whose jacket has a weight of more than 25% of the total weight of the projectile. (3) Ammunition that is .50 caliber or greater. (4) Flechette ammunition. (5) Ammunition that contains exothermic pyrophoric mesh metal as a projectile and is designed for the sole purpose of throwing or spewing a flame or fireball to simulate a flamethrower. (6) Bolo shells. (7) Hollow Nose, Dum-Dum or other ammunition designed to expand upon impact.

I'm doubtful of this bill's potential. The biggest hurdle would be that the entity identified as PennCorps appears to have previously been known as the Pennsylvania State Guard, which was deactivated in 1953. State Rep. Chris Rabb introduced a bill in October 2020 to revive the entity as what appears to be a community-based law enforcement entity which would include local law enforcement, but seems designed to eventually replace traditional police. This proposed bill appears to be an attempt to strengthen the establishment of PennCorps. Even a proposed bill of this nature is concerning, but without some sign of support from a majority of state legislators, it is not an imminent threat to freedom at this time. It is definitely worth keeping an eye on. Crazier things have happened before.
