A link to an article where someone in authority (a south Florida police chief) may have finally seen the light. One of his first statements was that criminal activity with guns, especially those who have been disallowed guns, should face serious jail time ..... actually said this: "Miami Police Chief Art Acevedo argued Sunday that rising gun violence must be met with serious prison time for those prohibited from possessing firearms – while "firearms belong in the hands of law-abiding Americans."

It's about time someone realized, we don't need a bunch of new gun laws. Just enforce the ones are there. No slap on the wrist, jail time. Get them off the streets.

I have been saying this for years-we have state and federal laws that would put these thugs under the jail if they were fully enforced and maximum penalties applied. And WE HAVE TO HAVE STOP AND FRISK as a tool for law enforcement.
