Springfield Armory certified armors.

Glock some what restricts there’s. Once you get it recertification I don’t recall but I believe initial you have to be LE/Military or work/be sponsored from an authorized dealer OR they allowed GSSF members to take.

Not sure about SA. Smith and Wesson sort of screwed up when their training department went away. They had some awesome training from armory stuff to instructing through the S&W Academy

I teuley believe that’s one thing that seems to help Glock they have a lot of factory support from training to armorer stuff and a way to get armorer certified if your non LE.

Wish other companies would offer classes like Glock and Sig do

I did the SA 1911 Armorer Course at IALEFI conference a couple years ago. Everyone in the conference was an LE instructor so it wasn't a question. Those armorer courses for all brands are always in high demand. I also did the Glock armorer's course at the factory a few years ago. There were civilians in the Glock course but I think LE got priority for seats. When I took the SIG Armorer course in NH most in the class were civilian. I think class size and seats available is more of a determining factor for seats than employment status.
