Springfield-Armory Echelon to California ?

Any word on if the Echelon will make the California roster this year ? I heard in the past it failed the DOJ . Not to sure how all that works because I’m new to the gun game but fell in love with pics , videos , and overall reviews of The Echelon. I currently own The Hellcat Pro but want a full size gun as well and the Echelon is what i have my eyes set on . I’ve heard of Calguns being a way to purchase it for an upsell price but that website is down . Any guidance as to how i can purchase this gun without it being on the California roster ? I have no family, friends, police officers who can purchase and sell to me from out of state . Any info would help . Thanks in advance
 
#1 - Having someone purchase a firearm for you, regardless if it's prohibited in your state, is a straw purchase which is illegal.

#2 - A manufacturer has to pay the state of California to test their product for consideration for sale in the state. Contact SA to see if they are pursuing that.

#3 - Contact your California authorities on the status on if they are considering on adding it to their roster.

#4 - SA sells other handguns that are CA-legal. Change your mind.

#5 - If you're a troll go away.

Welcome to the forum. As a California escapee, I feel your pain.

About all you can do is be patient or get involved with the political system to bring about change.

The folks at the calguns.net forum might be able to help you with how to facilitate an off-roster purchase but you'd probably have a better chance buying a unicorn. Good luck.

Thank you for the information . I will try and be patient . I just got an itch to get a full size gun and that Echelon has my eye..i just have a feeling as soon as i decide to get a different full size gun that’s California Compliant they will end up releasing the Echelon and i wont be able to fight the urge to still get that one too ! lol
