Springfield Armory Larry Vickers Tactical Master Class 1911

I have the Spgfld Vickers MC… pretty sure I’ve post a pic or two here; maybe in the Show Off Your 1911 thread. Or a thread I started a month+ ago about a good day at the range…

The MC is a great pistol and LV did a good job with his specs. Unfortunately… so far I’m not too good with it. It may be because I got my Ronin several months earlier and got used to the FO front sights and the slim grips (the latter esp). I can fix the grips easily, and that may do it (I’m a small guy).
But the large orange front sight makes this design esp intended for “target focused” shooting - I think? - and I haven’t got the hang of it despite the longer sight radius that adds a measure of accuracy. guess it’s a true combat pistol vs target pistol.
I need practice !!
