Springfield armory m1 30 cal

Can Do

I'm thinking about buying a Springfield armory m1 30 cal. With serial number of 70083xx. I don't recall the last 2 digits. But was definitely seven million 8,000 and something. It's brand new in the box. Just trying to figure out a fair price.

I'd be leery, according to commonly available online information about Garand serial numbers, your serial number is a tad too high for any of the builders of the platform. Maybe you mistyped an added 0 and it's in the 70k? If so, it'd be a very early one.

All of the above is a "maybe"....you know it is the internet.

Is it an M1A1 in 7.62 or is it a Garand in 30.06? If it’s new in the box it’s not likely to be GI issue. Welcome to the forum from the center of the universe located in central Va where it’s cold as the mischief this morning.
