The manual should state what ammo + or without it could shoot. The only 45s I have are glocks and so shoot +p.

Long story short: yes, it’s rated for it (despite what Springfield may say) but you don’t want to shoot a lot of it.
Run a couple mags to see if it functions in your pistol, then just use it for carry.
(I will also point out—that GDG2 is not really designed for short barreled pistols, so it’s performance will likely be less than stellar...but right now, with ammo scarcity being what it is....it’s probably a moot point).
