I had purchased 2 XDM OSP pistols that had this note in the box and I have the Hell Cat OSP none of them contained the 3 different mounting plates. But Springfield Customer Service took care of me they said they will ship me the 3 mounting plates for each of my 3 pistols .if you have an XDM OSP OR OSP Springfield Armory Pistol give them a call if you did not have the mounting plates shipped with your pistol they will ask you for your serial Number so have it ready when you call them.
 
I think in today’s situation, lot of manufacturers are having some kind of supply issue, my neighbor just bought a Sig P320 and it only came with one magazine instead of 2. I see this happening for some time till the demand drops and supplies pick back up.

I was thinking that it could of been a supply issue with the absence of the Springfield sights on the Saint replaced with Magpul sights thread
 
Springfield Armory customer took care of the problem they are shipping 3 sets of the osp mounting plates out today and I will have them soon. Each of my 3 OSP ready pistols will have a set. Now, what sight to use they are $$$$. I have the two Sightmark mini shots on two rifles One is on an AR-15.223 Pistol the other on my Ruger PC 9 Carbine. But I am not sure if they will work on the pistols. So the Choice is going to be a tuff one some of these sights cost more or just as much as the firearm.

Mine came with optics plates (xdm elite osp) thankfully and considering no aftermarket plates work with it due to having to be cut for the loaded chamber indicator those are super important!

However, two of my optic screws are now stripped and am unable to remove the plate. What are my options now? I've contacted a local gun place to see if they can remove the screws, but it's doubtful. Does springfield offer some service to correct their horrid choice of over torqing their screws? I bought this specifically to mount an optic on it and 1st day I have it that option is completely shot.

So salty right now. This is my 2nd Springfield Armory firearm in a row with issues.

Sorry to hear you stripped your screw heads they can be removed with a small easy out bit, The stripped screws are your fault, not Springfields fault, I had no problem removing the three screws and made sure the tool was secure in the screw head then turned the screw to the left to loosen it removed the cover then replaced it with the #1 plate that allows mounting my Sightmark Mini Shot Pro I replaced the two short screws for the sight and tightened them up turning them to the right and it's now mounted on my pistol. I called Springfield on Tuesday the 5th and I received the mounting plates today Saturday the 9th here in South Carolina free of any charge. I found the Tru Glo aftermarket sights I put on my Black XDM OSP would not allow the sight to mount up because they were a bit longer than the factory sights I replaced them with so I tried my XDM OSP FDE with a threaded barrel with the factory rear tall sights it mounted up no problem. You call Springfield with your problem you might be able to return your slide only and have them repair it .1-800-680-6866 remember to be nice you get more with sugar than s h i t ! I was sure happy the Sight Mark Mini shot Pro 5 moa dot mounted up with Springfields #1 plate. I hope you can get your problem resolved.

Never put red or blue Loctite on optic screws if anything use green or you will be sorry. Hand-tight an a 1/4 turn is plenty or you will strip the fastener or the tapped hole.

I used to have the bad habit of tightening the grip screws on my S&W revolver to tight usually stripping them.
