Springfield Saint help

OK so I am new to all this. I bought a springfield saint b5 mlok ar 15. I want to change out the hand guard but don't want to lose the a2 sites. Any suggestions. I tried the vism but it was 2 in two short.

You will need a mid-length handguard that will be compatible with a standard mil-spec round delta ring. The length of a 2 piece handguard is based off of the gas system length for your AR.

A few of the aftermarket 2 piece aluminum handguard options require a triangle end cap for the handguard to properly fit. I'm not sure if the Saint is compatible.

@xdman would know if the Saint is compatible with triangle end cap style handguards or only round.

May not be the correct length handguard as 10mm suggests

That handguard looks like its set up for carbine length, you would need round unless you remove the front sight post and replace it with the Triangle then reinstall the front sight post.

There's an end cap that the handguard locks into at the A2 sight aka gas block that can be had in either a round or triangle profile. The end cap is a separate sheet metal part than the A2 sight but it is pressed tight against it.

Can you provide a clear picture of the end of the handguard and the receiving end cap at the gas block/A2 sight?

That is a triangle style end plate so you should be able to use the 2 piece handguards from Midwest Industries and a few other brands.

You will need to determine the length of your gas system to find the compatible handguard.

Determining gas system length.

System	Barrel Length	Port Distance
Pistol	< 10 inches	4 inches
Carbine	10-18 inches	7 inches
Mid	14-20 inches	9 inches
Rifle	20+ inches	12 inches
