Springfield Saint Victor B5 - Handguard Anchor Plates

Hello,

I have a quick question about the handguard anchor plates on the Saint Victor B5. I noticed the handguard was loose when I bought it and I read this is some type of adjustable handguard feature? I am not sure. The problem is when I am at the range, the screws eventually get loose and I have had the plate fall off on the left side a few times. I am using hand pressure to torque the screws. Maybe they need to be tighter? Why would it be made so they can just fall off while you are shooting? I don't understand that part. I don't know much about guns so forgive me. Just looking for some advice.

I read a prior post about this but the guy had a cracked anchor plate. Mine are not cracked and screws looked fine. Someone said not to use locktite on the gun because you shouldn't have to do that. Another post recommended using Rocksett on those screws and torqueing them at 40 pounds. Anyways, any suggestions? Are they just coming loose because I am not tightening them enough?

Regards,
Sh3ll
