Springfield XD45 magazine ejection issue

First, this gun is factory new.
I have a tough time ejecting my magazines (10 round double-stack) from my gun when loaded. Anyone else have this issue, is there a quick fix, or should I be sending this in to Springfield Armory.
I need to use two hands, often pushing up on the magazines to help release them when the gun is loaded.

I would call customer service as this maybe a minor issue related to the magazine and if it's more than that you could send your pistol in for service.

Springfield Armory's customer service is top notch.

In this instance it could be attributed to the added pressure against the mag catch due to a fully loaded magazine, which is normal. I owned a Ruger American Compact and it was extremely difficult to drop a fully loaded magazine with the slide closed.
Its an extremely difficult slide to pull open in the first place. I've got several auto's, no issues with any of the others.

I wish that was my excuse, no problem with other 45's, 9mm's etc.
I will say that I have had quite a few and of them all the XD Mod 2 4" .45 is the only one that has this issue. And it really didn't ever loosen up over time. It really only matters when you drop a full mag, which I almost never do. And it's not that it's impossible, just harder. Unless you download by one.

In fact that's my suggestion. Download by one and see if the problem persists. If it is easier than it's just the gun and they won't do anything about it. If the problem still persists than you probably have something else going on.

Thanks, tried it with less one originally, and a couple more too, no difference.

my xd45 subcompact is what i would say is tight to release a full magazine
i found if i put pressure on magazine then press release it drops out easy as my other xd,s

i use the 13 round with 230 or 180 grain berrys
that is only issue i have and if magazine is empty it pops right out easy as pie
IF THIS helps

Ok, here is one for you, my XDs mod2 and my previous XDs both did this, not a problem or issue, but if the trigger is pulled and it’s all the way back, and you hit the mag release, the mag release touches the trigger assembly and the trigger will move ever so slightly forward, like I said my original one and this mod2 will do it, I figured since this is a very small gun and all the internals are kinda stuffed in there, not much room inside, that’s why this occurs, like I said no issues whatsoever….. just a FYI

For now I'm stuck in Calif. with the 10 round limit, I too have tried pushing up on the magazine to help it to release, that is currently the only way I can barely get it out.

that does not sound like its the way its meant to be, agree send it Springfield let them sort it
they fixed my 9 mm xd pretty quick with no issues , new barrel and some slide work
all my others the magazine is eager to drop out, one a bit fast imo
but my 45 has always been different
