Standard M1A Stock

New to the forum & my first thread.

I'm a first time M1A owner. I purchased the standard M1A with the FDE stock. I regretted not getting the wood so I purchased a walnut stock. My question is, what are the holes on both sides above the trigger group for?

Thanks

The two holes are meant to hold the stock reinforcement that you may need to buy separately along with the two stock reinforcement screws because the synthetic stock doesn't need these.

Check Midway USA for parts as they sell a lot of factory hard to find parts.

I actually found what you need here through an online vendor I've never used. For the M1A it's called a stock liner and it comes with screws.

And below is a wood stock accessories kit with additional parts you may need.

The screws will need a special tool to install them which I added below.

I hope this helps!

Perfect. Exactly the info I was looking for.
