The adventure in the early morning reminded me just why I chose this light for carry and bedside. It has just the right amount of light, I prefer it to those lights that put out thousands of lumens because it does not reflect off light colored surfaces or very dense vegetation. For my light sensitive eyes that kind of reflection and washout is worse than not enough lumens. It has a very nice long throw to it. It is easy to pocket. And it can use either CR123 or AA batteries.
