Stripped/stuck screw. Gunsmith price for it

Hi. I'm not sure if this post is appropriate for this forum. Most topics I've read sounded they've been penned by professionals and experts. But here it goes. I got a stuck screw on my OSP. I was going to mount a red dot/Swampfox Sentinel and realized one of the screws holding the plate is stuck. Inclined to side with caution to avoid possibly messing up my Hellcat (after heating it up to loosen the screw tightener), I started to entertain the idea of gunsmith services. I have not yet decided to commit seeing a gunsmith though. But if all else fails, any idea or suggestion of a reliable gunsmith in the West Valley area of Arizona? Price range for a stripped screw removal? Thanks.

Thanks for pointing out the EZ outs. I failed to consider that. I hope Harbor Freights carry them.

EZ out= no no! It could be unsafe due to shallow threads. Have slide secure and press down with some pressure and back out. If the screw didn't break clean, the use the edge for traction. If the slide has an adapter plate then remove it first and then try removing the screw.

I would never trust a Harbor freight ez-out as they are made of materials of unknown quality and could cause further problems if they break and get stuck in the screw.

If the screws are stuck that bad seek the help of a gunsmith or contact Springfield's customer service for advice.

A gunsmith is going to be a lot cheaper than a new slide. I would be surprised if it costs you more than $25. Let us know how it works out.
Went down to Kilo Guns and got it sorted out. Big thank you to Robert and Justin. I had a passenger with me and I know he gave consideration to my elderly passenger without him saying. Plus I need the tool mentioned for an upcoming class. Wait time down to 60 minutes. Transparent and quality business transaction and service. Fair pricing with the install of my Swampfox Sentinel. Straightforward in a kindly manner. Veteran owned local business.... Yay for that (WPS mantra).😁

Awesome outcome!

This a great result and a great example to those of us who have not had some sort of issue that required a Gunsmith. I am
not one of those people, btw. I’m fortunate that the club I shoot at has a very competent gunsmith dept on the premises, which I have taken advantage of quite a few times. I am one of those measure twice, cut once, F it up anyway, go out for proper tools and then order a new thingymabob. I have at least been smart enough to not apply that philosophy to any of my guns.
Yet...
