No doubt. I bought some curly maple for a steamer trunk type chest I'm making. It's only 2'x3'x20". The wood alone was close to $450, and I didn't have that much waste.

It's cool tech, but according to the article it's worst than existing bullet resistant tech. This sounds like a refinement of particle board tech.

Oak if remember right. Doesn't rust was part of logic behind it. Was a lot of wood used in older vehicles.

Not wholly, but there's still a ton of old-world craftsmanship baked into every vehicle.
