More than 20 million Americans are set to skip work on Monday after watching the Super Bowl showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, and research suggests the absences could cost the U.S. economy up to $3 billion.

well here's a SUPER IDEA....

PLAY THE STUPID GAME ON A SATURDAY....

for me, i will NOT be watching the Stupid Bowl, better known as the Taylor Swift Show,

and i will NOT miss work on monday, since i am RETIRED....

in fact, i will be up at my usual time of 4:30 AM, get myself taken care of, then head for the club by about 6:30, to practice with my G-30

I’ll be tuned into Sunday Night Snubs with Rob Garret at 9pm
Was never a big Football guy anyway but after that kneeling BS and the only reason for 2 national Anthems is if there’s a Canadian team in it so screw them and their virtue signaling

I wish I was more retired. Right now I'm just kind of retired. I've tried it a couple of times but, to be honest, I'm kind of put off by the thought of a honey-do list. It's easier to go to work and deal with the fact that I can just walk away. This can be amusing by itself when dealing with knuckleheads that should be able to retire but can't because they had to have a new house, new wife, new truck, new harley, new this, new that.... blah, blah, blah...

As to the 3 billion, maybe they can get it paid out through the USAid slush fund?

I've never been much for team sports. I won't be watching.
As far as it costing $3B, no big deal. Its been going on for years. We're used to it. Many people skip work the day after their preferred sport's big game. Its not unusual at all.

BTW: organized sports came to an agreement many, many years ago to prevent overlapping. High Schools play on Friday, College plays on Saturday and Pros play on Sunday.

Totally retired in 2017. No interest in the game or sports in general. Let the millionaires on the field play and bitch. Not my monkey or circus. Wife and her kids are 49e fans, so will watch some of their games. Spent too many years playing life-or-death games to be impressed with people in fancy costumes on a field and crying about their supposed injuries. They are nowhere in the Pat Tillman league. My 2 cents worth!
