Suppressed Ammo selection.

Honestly, it probably doesn’t matter. Any .223/5.56 ammo is going to be supersonic and pretty loud, even suppressed. A suppressor definitely takes the edge off a .223/5.56, but by no means makes it quiet.
5.56 suppressed is still loud enough to make your ears bleed. And it's almost not even worth the cost of a dedicated 5.56 suppressor.

Might as well use Aguila .22LR SSS—60gr bullet.
I actually looked both of these up and the ballistics are surprisingly similar. Here’s another problem with those 5.56 subsonic rounds. They do not cycle the bolt on a 5.56 semi-auto rifle. Their description says that that’s done on purpose to keep the Db down. Given this, you’re probably better off shooting the .22 ammo than that 5.56 subsonic.

It works great out if my .22 conversion with a 1:9 barrel…quiet, too, with a can.

I just swapped out the 5" TacSol backpacker barrel on my SW22 for a 1-1/2" Tandemcross Comet barrel to reduce the OAL of this pistol that stays suppressed full-time. With the shorter Comet barrel bullet grain weight doesn't matter because most .22lr rounds cannot achieve supersonic speeds out of a small barrel.

Here are the before and after pics.
