How do you go about using a suppressor do you need to have a new barrel with threads and will they fit all Springfield models

Lot of time you can remove the muzzle device and attach the suppressor to the end of the barrel threads.
Also, you can add a Muzzle device that has threads on the outside that accepts a suppressor over that device... ie, muzzle brake, flash hider, compensator

Second quick detach or direct thread?
* if you do not have a threaded barrel then it needs to be threaded.

Note: I was assuming typical AR-15 style rifle, not a bolt action .

9mm Xd - do have to buy a barrel or have it threaded

Get another barrel, the stock barrel is too short.
* the threads will most likely be ¹/²x28

Be sure to measure you barrel and get the right model barrel. You dont want to spend another 200 for a barrel thats the wrong size.
