I have a question since I have never messed with after market sights such as these . Does the rear popup sight sit at the same height as a carry handle sight?

Good quality ones will be, this allows them to be used with a non foldable front sight post

Thank you . I thought they should but wasn't sure.
If your carry handle sight is below the top of the handle, then no! I haven't seen a carry handle with a pic rail, but not impossible? When popped up it will sit high above the gas block sight. I have an older colt '79 or '80 that has a carry handle with the sight at top rear location and no way it could have a usable line of sight! That's if you could install this sight. Even if you could remove the handle it would be too low in reference to the front sight. I haven't seen a low pro carry handle?

I was talking about if a person removed the carry handle , installed a red dot sight and were to use this fold down rear sight as a backup .

If the sight orphus matches front post height then yes it will. I wasn't aware of handle removal option, but understand now?

The MBUS sights have been my preferred sights on all my long gun builds. I never really minded using a tool for adjustment because they seem to hold zero very well and rarely need adjusting after setting the initial zero. It will still be cool to have the tool less option.

I'm interested to see how much slimmer and lower the new MBUS sights are in comparison to the original. I never had problems with the old ones interfering with my optics, but I've never bought any state-of-he art optics that ride very low. One day I may invest in some optics that are fancier than my TruGlo's and Amazon specials, but right now I just can't justify owning optics that cost more than what I spent on all the other components to build the gun. I've also always been an iron-sight devotee, so I don't even mount optics to most of my guns.
