Thanks for sharing your experience with the Red Dot

RM001

Alpha
I have two pistols with the Red Dots mounted on them and prefer them to the iron sights which I learned to shoot with. I believe that as the weaponry evolves more Red Dots with be integrated into the firearm at purchase. my only concern is that they make changing the battery easy. I have a 9mm with a red laser but not the same as the Red Dot.

Sig Romeo3 pro has side mounted battery compartment for quick change of the batter w/o removing it from the gun

Most pistol red dots these days the batteries either load from the side Romeo 3 Pro, Holosun 507/407 series or from the top Romeo 1 Pro and Deltapoint Pro. I’ve got one red dot that mounts from the bottom and to be completely honest it’s not that big an inconvenience. The worst part, is if you use a drop of blue loctite, and you really should, is giving the loctite 24 hrs to cure. You may not need the gun for 24 hours, but NOT being able to use the gun for 24 hrs feels like when you were a kid waiting for Christmas to come!
