The first handgun I ever owned was a S&W model 915. I bought it the day I got out of the Army.
There must have been something wrong with
that particular gun (Not saying 915s in general) because it was inaccurate no matter who was shooting it. I ended up selling it.
I still have a soft spot in my heart for 915s but I'll never buy another.
6906. I bought it as a replacement for the 915. In a lot of ways it was I would almost say the perfect concealed carry gun but at some point I made a decision I was never going to carry a handgun with a safety on it for self-defense ever again.
I sold it and bought an M&P Shield.
4006 without question this is my Grail Gun. It is the only handgun I own that's not 9 mm it's the only handgun I own that has a manual safety.
I'm not even sure what it is about this gun that appeals to me so much. I wanted one for years but every time I had the money I couldn't find one and every time I found one I didn't have the money.
Then one day I went to a training class with my church security team and the guy in the lane next to me happened to be shooting a 4006.
I mentioned to him how bad I'd always wanted one and the next day after church he offered to sell it to me for
$200. He said he wanted to make sure that he gave me a good deal. I want to clarify that he wasn't stupid. He knew the value of that gun, he was just trying to do me a favor.
I jumped on it.
