The 44 S&W Special is a joy to shoot. My Dan Wesson 445 Supermag shoots 445 Supermag, 44 Magum and 44 Special. The 44 Spl is a very mild, accurate round. I also carried a Charter Arms 44 Spl Bulldog for a while which gave a good punch in a small package. For those with a 44 Magnum it is good plinking and target round especially for novice shooters.

Nice article. I have some 44 spl. rounds to shoot out of my dads 44 mag. Have to try them out soon.

Love the 44spl, have several. Mild recoil while still lobbing some serious lead.
